This painting was done on a small scale, around 4" x 6", It was inspired by signs in Dunedin, Florida. Done in acrylic, this painting has shades of tropical blues.

Shelley Overton started her art career as a graphic designer, and expanded into murals, fine art and illustration. She has had numerous shows in Orlando. As her talents expanded, so did her interest in ways of expressing herself. She is always learning and growing, even with mundane media, such as embroidery floss. Shelley incorporates the unexpected into her art, whether it's an element, or a twist on the subject matter. Currently, she is utilizing paper, crystals, floss and glitter to enhance her whimsical art. The other side of Shelley is the nature-loving realist artist.
