Sedna, Inuit mythical goddess. She lost her fingers in the cold sea, and they turned into the creatures of the ocean. This painting depicts her connection to the loving creatures of the sea, and her dual nature of chaotic anger and calm love.

About Shelley Overton

Shelley Overton

Shelley Overton started her art career as a graphic designer, and expanded into murals, fine art and illustration. She has had numerous shows in Orlando. As her talents expanded, so did her interest in ways of expressing herself. She is always learning and growing, even with mundane media, such as embroidery floss. Shelley incorporates the unexpected into her art, whether it's an element, or a twist on the subject matter. Currently, she is utilizing paper, crystals, floss and glitter to enhance her whimsical art. The other side of Shelley is the nature-loving realist artist.
